Screw conveyors are divided into two types: horizontal screw conveyors and inclined screw conveyors. They are mainly used for horizontal transportation and inclined transportation of various powdery, granular and small pieces of loose materials. This machine is not suitable for transportation. For special materials that are perishable, highly viscous, easy to agglomerate or have high temperatures, are resistant to pressure, and are highly corrosive, in principle, different types of screw conveyors can be made of stainless steel, collectively referred to as stainless steel screw conveyors or stainless steel augers. Stainless steel screw conveyor types can be divided into LS8 screw conveyor (tube type), LS screw conveyor (U type), GX screw conveyor (U type), LG vertical screw conveyor and WLS shaft-less screw conveyor.

A screw conveyor operates using a rotating helical screw (auger) enclosed within a trough or tube. As the screw rotates, materials such as powders, granules, or semi -solid substances are propelled forward along the trough by the continuous spiral motion of the screw blade. This action creates a controlled displacement of material through a combination of rotational force and friction between the product and the screw surface. The enclosed design prevents spillage, reduces dust, and ensures contamination-free transport. Suitable for horizontal, inclined, or vertical configurations, it efficiently handles bulk materials in industries like agriculture, food processing, mining, and chemical manufacturing.
